Favorite Poses for capturing special Mommy and Me Moments

As a busy mom of three, I know how hard it is to have photos taken with your kids. I love spoiling mom at session with lots of photos of her with her children. Below I have narrowed down my favorite poses for portraying the special bond between mother and child.

A hug from behind.

For this pose, I have Mom come up directly behind and wrap her arms around her child. I do three different variations of this pose. Mom looking at her child (child can either look at the camera or at me). Both looking at the camera with faces close together. Mom kissing her child on the cheek.

Kids playing with Mom’s hair

Mama’s hair can be a huge source of comfort for kiddos. I remember when my daughter was tired and used to snuggle up next to me and play with my ponytail. I love capturing photos of kids playing with mom’s hair.

Child can either sit on Mom’s lap facing out or sit straddling mom facing mom. Sometimes I will put older kids sitting next to mom or sitting on mom’s lap. Here are a few variations of the pose showing mom with just one child and mom with multiple children.
